Save £5500 on a Kawasaki Ninja 7 Hybrid
Kawasaki are to be applauded for its first introduction, last year, of a true ‘hybrid’ (which combines a conventional ICE petrol engine with a battery-powered electric motor) into motorcycling. But 12 months on, priced at £11,949 and with fairly underwhelming performance (68bhp, around 75mpg and a hefty weight of 227kg) it’s not unfair to say its sales have been underwhelming, too – hence dealer discounts like this. Five Ways Motorcycles are currently offering this brand-new example with a whopping £5500 off, taking it down to a far more tempting – and economical – £6449.

Get £3400 off this KTM 890 SM-T
New bikes sometimes slip ‘under the radar’ a bit and can be overlooked, irrespective of their ability and value, which is the only reason I can think of why KTM’s new 890 SMT-T, which was only introduced last year as a sort of little brother to the Austrian brand’s 1290 GT, but instead has grunty, 105bhp parallel twin power, is being discounted by dealers so early. Iron City Motorcycles, for example, is currently offering this brand new 2024 example with a full £3400 off, so taking its asking price down from the usual £12,999 to now be available for just £9599

Get £2000 off this Ducati Scrambler 800
Proof that it’s not always oddball, budget or seemingly overpriced bikes that are the only recipients of big dealer discounts. Ducati’s Scrambler 800 family has been a huge success since their launch in 2015 as entry-level bikes into the exotic Italian brand’s family, have been repeatedly updated since and remain popular for their combination of style, ease and value. This brand-new example currently on offer at Ducati Croydon, however, is even better yet. Although pre-registered, it’s brand new, 0-miles and, thanks to a £2000 discount which takes it down from £9995 to now just £7995, is stupendous value as well.

Save £1304 on this Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE
While, finally for this week, proof that more mainstream, conventional – and already affordable motorcycles can sometimes be subject to big dealer discounts, too – as is the case here. Wheels Motorcycles in Peterborough is currently offering Suzuki’s excellent mid-range adventure bike, the V-Strom 800 DE, which stands out particularly for its gutsy and slick parallel twin engine and in this spec is the more off-road variant with wire wheels and a larger front hoop, with a full £3304 off its usual new price. That takes it down from the usual £10,999 to now be available for just £9695.

Get this Triumph Tiger 1200 with £481 off
Sometimes you come across such great deals on low mileage used bikes it makes you wonder why anyone would bother buying new – as is the case here. Used bike specialists Superbike Factory are currently offering this virtually as-new, 72-plate, ultra-low mileage example (just 702 recorded) of Triumph’s brilliant Tiger 1200 adventure bike which, naturally, is in immaculate, barely run-in condition with a further discount of £481, which takes it down from the previous price of £12,586 to now be available for a bargain £12,105 – that’s over £5000 less than a new one

Save £458 on this Vespa GTS300 Super
How’s this for something different – but also now at a very tempting, just-discounted price? Italian legends Vespa’s GTS300 remains arguably the most desirable, classy, retro scooter of all but with prices now approaching £6K it has the tag to match – except here. Used bike specialists Superbike Factory have just reduced the price on this low mileage used example to under £3000 It’s on a 66-plate, has covered just 2289 miles, is in excellent condition and comes complete with a useful top box. Best of all, though, its price has just been cut by £458 taking it down from the previous £3386 to now be on offer for just £2928

Save £417 on this Norton Commando 961 Sport
While, finally for this week, if you don’t fancy an adventure bike but still want something classically British, how about this great deal on a used example of revived Norton’s mouth-watering Commando 961? It’s again being offered by used bike specialists Superbike Factory, refers to a 69-plate example of the ‘Sport’ model so has inverted forks, Brembo radial brakes and even classy wire wheels, has covered just 4161 miles so is in excellent, unmarked condition and, thanks to a further discount of £417, its price has now been slashed from the previous £10,991 to now be available for just £10,574

There’s no more iconic American cruiser than Harley-Davidson, and there is also no more iconic Harley-Davidson than the Milwaukee legend’s definitive ‘bagger’ – the Street Glide, which perfectly mixes cruiser style with touring comfort and practicality. That’s why the big V-twin, pannier and chopped fairing-equipped bike is the US brand’s best-selling-model. Austrian brand KTM is well-known as an adventure bike specialist with its 800 and 1300cc twins among the best performing machines of their type – especially off-road. But its ‘sister’ brand, Husqvarna, who bikes are basically restyled KTMs, are often just as good but less appreciated which is why sometimes big dealer discounts can be found – as is the case here. Fowlers of Bristol, for example, are currently offering the latest Husqvarna Norden 901 (which is basically an upspecced, restyled KTM 890 Adventure) in top spec Expedition trim with a full £2600 off its usual price of £14,599 – that takes it down to a bargain price of just £11,999

Get £2421 off this Yamaha Niken 900 GT
If you’re up for something a bit more ‘left field’ than either an adventure bike or classic American cruiser, there can also be some big dealer discounts to be found – as is the case here. Yamaha’s bold, leaning three-wheeler Niken, as based on the Tracer 900 triple, hasn’t been the success hoped for but that ignores the fact that, especially in updated 2023-on form, it’s astonishingly capable, well equipped, a truly impressive sports-tourer and a huge talking point. Better still, this brand-new example at Tamworth Yamaha is currently being offered with a full £2421 off so taking it down from its usual price of £16,420 to now be available for just £13,999

Get £1300 off this Triumph Tiger Sport 660
While, finally for this week, if something American, niche or three-wheeled doesn’t appeal, you surely can have no problem with the appeal of one of the very best middleweight sports-tourers currently available – especially as it’s currently on offer at a bargain price? Triumph’s Tiger Sport 660 was already a great alternative to Yamaha’s Tracer7 but with the added appeal of three-cylinder character and, if that’s already not enough, dealer Triumph North London is currently offering one, pre-reg but otherwise brand new 2024 example in red at just £7795 – that’s a saving of £1300 on the current new price

Get this Ducati Multistrada 950 with £808 off
How about this for a great used bike deal – A Ducati Multistrada for under £5600 Ducati’s slightly smaller, more affordable version of its Multistrada 1260, the 950, was introduced in 2017 and proved a great alternative at a more real-world price. But this example, just discounted by used bike specialists Superbike Factory is something of a steal. It’s on a 17-plate, has covered a very reasonable 15,475 miles, is in great condition, comes complete with a very useful colour-matched top case and tall touring screen and, best of all, has just been reduced by a further £808 so taking it down from £6386 to now just £5578.

Save £796 on this Harley-Davidson Low Rider
Alternatively, if you fancy a classic Harley but can’t stretch to a new example’s often £20K+ price, how about this for used bargain? It’s also currently being offered by used bike specialists Superbike Factory, this time is a great example of the classic Low Rider cruiser, is on a 65-plate but is in excellent condition having covered only 10,640 miles and, most temptingly of all, has just been reduced by a full £796 so taking its asking price down from the previous £9986 to now be on offer for just £9190.

Save £762 on this KTM 1290 Super Adventure
While, finally for this week, if you don’t fancy a cut-price used Ducati Multistrada or Harley Low Rider, how about a great deal on a recent, virtually as-new KTM 1290 Super Adventure instead? This great example of the 170bhp Austrian all-rounder is again currently being offered by used bike specialists Superbike Factory with a big discount. It’s a 2019 example and has covered only 3000 miles, is in excellent condition and again comes complete with a very useful top case thrown in but, possibly best of all, it’s just had its price slashed by a further £762 so taking it down from the previous £9890 to now be available for just £9128.
