Yamaha D'elight-ed with new scooter

Yamaha have launched a new lightweight sub-125cc scooter called the XC115S D’elight, a four-stroke with retro-styling designed to zip you through towns and cities in no time without burning too much of a hole in your fuel budget.
The new scooter will be available this August at under £2,000 is one of the lightest and most compact models in the up-to-125cc category and its low weight and agile, user-friendly handling characteristics make the D'elight ideally suited to urban commuting especially considering its 1.8m length and 4.4 litre tank.
Fitted with an air-cooled, single cylinder, four-stroke 114cc engine, the D’elight’s weight and dimensions would give any 50cc scooter a run for its money, plus with one of the lowest seat heights among its competitors, Yamaha are promising easier low-speed riding and enhanced manoeuvrability. Yamaha’s latest scooter has 3-spoke, 12-inch alloys and 180mm front disc brakes. It’s available in Milky White, Midnight Black and Magnetic Bronze and comes with under seat storage designed to accommodate an open faced helmet.
The up-to-125cc sector accounts for around 60% of the total market for scooters in Europe, making it the single biggest category in the powered two-wheeler world. The demand for 125cc scooters is projected to increase steadily in future years, spurred on by factors such as increasing fuel costs and worsening inner-city congestion.
The suggested retail price of the XC115S D’elight is £1799 plus road fund and first reg. fees.
